Grant Description
Award valued at $3,500 to a USA, Canada, or International K-12 science teacher to honor outstanding and innovative agricultural science teaching. Applicants must demonstrate that innovative hands-on activities in the field of agricultural science have been incorporated into the existing science curriculum.

A partnership with Corteva and the National Science Teaching Association, this award recognizes excellence and  innovation in the field of agricultural science education. 

The demonstrated incorporation of hands-on agricultural science activities into the classroom, which include:

  •  Effective planning skills which includes goals and objectives
  •  Demonstrated impact and engagement of students
  •  Opportunities for students to attain science standards
  •  Description of how the award would be used to further their agricultural science program

Additional Criteria for Eligibility
This award is open to any K-12 science teacher who incorporates innovative agricultural science activities into their existing science curriculum.
Pre-Application Information
Completed applications must be received by December 21, 2022.
Number of Grants
One award will be awarded annually.
Estimated Size of Grant
The total awards package includes a $2500 cash award, $1000 towards travel expenses to attend the NSTA national conference on science education, registration for the National conference, one year paid NSTA membership, mentoring with a Corteva Pioneer scientist, classroom resources from Corteva, and access to a Corteva Pioneer product plant or research facility.
