Award of $1,000 and a $500 travel stipend to a USA, Canada, or International librarian to recognize outstanding contributions to the fields of information literacy and library instruction. Nominations should be based on formal or informal research on the topic, the creation of new programs or services, and impactful participation within professional organizations.
The LIRT Librarian Recognition Award is given to acknowledge a practicing librarian's contribution to the development, advancement, and support of information literacy and instruction. The award is open to any practicing librarian who participates in instruction/information literacy activities in any type of library. Instruction need not be the main focus of their position.
