Grants to Kentucky nonprofit organizations, medical centers, and cancer organizations for programs and services in the areas of cancer research, care, and education. Previous grants have been used for patient transportation to medical centers, cancer prevention programs, free prostate screenings, Jin Shin Jyutsu sessions for patients, and summer camp experiences for children battling cancer.

LCF considers grant applications that:
- Enhance awareness and education regarding cancer diseases, symptoms, conditions, and treatment options.
- Provide physical, psychological, or emotional support to people with cancer.
- Allow easier, less expensive access to cancer treatment and care.
- Advance medical science in the areas of cancer research and care.
- Improve the quality of life for Kentuckians with cancer.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Each spring, non-profits, medical centers, and cancer organizations are invited to complete a grant application. Any organization that addresses cancer in the Commonwealth of Kentucky is invited to apply.

Pre-Application Information:

The grant deadline is July 31, 2018.

A grants committee reviews each submitted grant during the months of October and November. Additionally, all research grants are reviewed by the LCF’s Medical Advisory Board.

The grants committee presents funding recommendations to the full board for approval. Grant acceptance and decline letters will be sent as soon as the board approval is made. The office will contact you as soon as the decision is made. Please do not call the office inquiring about your submitted grant.
