Grant Description

Awards to Kentucky healthcare professionals in eligible locations to acknowledge improvements in the healthcare sector. Awards will be given in the following categories: health equity champion, health entrepreneur, rising star, innovator, provider, and manager. Eligible nominees are those located in the Greater Louisville area.

Louisville Business First will recognize those who have made an impact on health care in the community through their concern for patients, research and inventions, management skills, innovative programs for employees, and service to the poor and uninsured.

Awards will be given in these categories:

  • Health Entrepreneur - This award honors an entrepreneurial initiative in the health care business scene that is making strides in the industry.
  • Innovator - This award honors someone who breaks ground in the health care field by developing or implementing new technology, treatments, or programs with wide applications.
  • Manager - This award honors leaders ranging from the head of a small company or organization to an executive in a major health system.
  • Provider - This award honors a physician, nurse or other health care professional who works directly with patients and who shows exceptional achievement in his or her work.
  • Rising Star: This honor recognizes emerging health care professionals who are making an impact in their company or organization.

To be eligible, the nominee must work within the Greater Louisville area.

Honorees will be profiled in print and online in February 2023 and at an event around that time.
