Grant of $5,000 to a USA, Canada, or International graduate student or psychologist associated with a university, organization, or institution for psychology research projects. Eligible research topics include personality assessment, personality disorders. and personality theory. Preference is given to work that improves the study, development, and delivery of personality assessment, as represented by the work of Theodore Millon, PhD.
Most APF programs allow for a wide range of direct costs. Examples include (but are not limited to): participant payments, supplies, technology expenses (software, hardware, imaging, etc.), travel to conduct research, travel to disseminate findings, stipend/salary support, course buy out and supplemental training.

- APF cannot disburse grant monies without IRB approval. Successful applicants have six months from the date of the grant approval to obtain IRB approval, or the grant will be rescinded.
- Funding begins when recipients submit IRB approval and the required paperwork. APF funding will continue for a maximum of 12 months from the date of the grant, unless otherwise specified.
